Marilyn lim edwards

Marilyn is an experienced legal practitioner skilled in various areas of law, particularly in Commercial Law, Property Law and Succession Law. Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Training and a Master of Laws (LLM) specialising in Intellectual Property (IP), Information Technology (IT) and E-Commerce. Born and raised in Malaysia, Marilyn moved to Australia for her tertiary studies where she called Queensland home. She practised as a trademark specialist in a boutique IP firm in Brisbane, then after a decade of being part of the team at Kerr Lawyers on the Gold Coast, Marilyn purchased the firm and rebranded it to Law Pro Qld which she owned for a number of years.

With her experiences in different practice areas, Marilyn provides a holistic view of matters as well as journey with clients through different stages and seasons of life ensuring that their legal matters are taken care of. She is also a team player who will often consult and co-operate with other professionals to ensure that the suitable outcome is achieved for the client. In her years of practice, Marilyn has fostered strong relationships with clients, some of which have spanned over a decade.



Outside of practising law, Marilyn is also active in various community organisations and endeavours. She is a foodie who enjoys exploring new places and hosting people at home.
