Luke Phillips

Luke completed a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Tasmania and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2022.



He began his legal career in the Dispute Resolution team at a Hobart law firm, where he assisted commercial clients across a range of matters, including debt recovery, insolvency, residential tenancy disputes, employment law and workplace health and safety matters, construction litigation and defamation.

Luke takes a client-focused approach, first understanding what each client wants to achieve before tailoring his advice and strategy to their circumstances. He is committed to explaining complex legal issues in a clear and practical way, helping clients understand their options and move forward with confidence.

After travelling through Asia and Central America for two years in late 2024, Luke relocated to the Gold Coast in 2026 and joined CJM Lawyers as a Solicitor in our Mermaid Beach office.
