EVA MCLAUGHLIN

Eva holds a Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Bond University as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin (majoring in Government with minors in both Sociology and Spanish). She has also studied law at Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Eva is a solicitor specialising in estate planning such as the preparation of wills, powers of attorney and the administration of deceased estates. She also has experience in commercial work such as preparing and providing advice with respect to leases; business sales, asset structuring, and other commercial work.

She is also registered as a Migration Agent through the Migration Agents Registration Authority and has experience representing clients of various nationalities and assisting with their visa applications and other migration matters. 

Eva is particularly passionate about migration law as her family migrated from El Salvador in the 1980’s to America and then she moved to Australia. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Eva grew up in Austin, Texas, USA and upon completing her undergraduate degree she worked at the Texas State Capitol for the House of Representatives. After studying law in Oregon she decided to take a year off from her studies to back-pack through Peru, Central America, Canada and Australia.

She is now happy to call the Gold Coast her home and enjoys traveling, staying active, the beach, and good food and wine.
